Signs of Roofing Damage
There are many ways a roof can begin to fail or be in need of repair and not all of them are easily identified. It is always best to check for damage before the interior results become obvious, which can result in water damage or worse. Below are some of the ways roofing can fail and how to identify them.
Bad sheeting. Must Tear off and install new sheeting and shingles
Some shingles have blown off. This can usually be repaired
Nails are backing out and tabs not stuck down
Roof is worn out. Possible hail damage. Must be torn off and replaced
Age curled shingles. Must be torn off and replaced
Evidence of bad sheeting. Need to tear off & replace sheeting and shingles
Shingles not sticking down, beginning to curl at edge
Roof is aged and worn out. Needs to be torn off and replaced
Roof is totally worn out. Needs to be torn off and new roofing installed
